I have a fear of fire alarms for some reason. ESPECIALLY those bells.

Well apparently it is something to do with the rain. Too much rain causes the alarm to trip or something. They just turned it off. Poor Samus is still under the bed.

That's healthy. This is one of those high pitched beeps.

I actually perform inspections of fire alarm systems overnight (in schools, however). I always wonder just how many neighbors freak out because of it. We do get the cops called here and there.

The rain makes my car's electronics freak out. Radio won't work and airbag light will flash for the first ~15 minutes of travel

State laws require nightly checks?

That's annoying.

Not a state law, but the county we work under prefers us doing the annual inspections overnight as opposed to during the day as not to disturb the people inside the building.

I live in a dorm room at college, and they like to do the test around midnight all the time. It's awful. And about once a week, the alarm goes off for no reason in the middle of the night, so we all have to get out of bed and leave.
